Provence’s wine growers are rewriting their story but staying true to their roots
Deeply committed to preserving the history and soul of Château Romanin in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, Marie and Jean-Louis Charmolüe have been travelling the road to excellence since 2006, nurturing their 143 acres of vines using biodynamic techniques. Their daughter, Brigitte San Quirce, has now taken over the running of the estate, carefully looking after the 58 hectares of biodynamic vines. Domaine de Sulauze in Miramas is going back to its roots too. Bought up in 2004 by husband and wife team Guillaume and Karina Lefevre, the wines of this 1,235-acre AOC / AOP vineyard are entirely produced using organic and biodynamic techniques.
