This summer 2022, the world-famous artist Georges Rousse took over the Sartore house, which was condemned to disappear after storm Alex, as part of the Plein Air festival. He transformed the building into a gigantic red and blue anamorphosis.
Don't miss this opportunity: you will be able to see this work in a different way than in a photo: a fresco represents the coloured building at the back of the church Sancta-Maria in Albis, on the Boulevard Rouvier side. You just have to cross the small Charabot bridge over the lake, turn right to go up along the Roya river on the right bank, and after two buildings, you're there!

Georges Rousse is known worldwide for his anamorphoses painted on destroyed architectures from Fukushima to Mexico City, Calcutta, New York and today in Breil sur Roya. His interventions are immortalized by photography, thus evoking the question of memory.
In Breil sur Roya, as part of the Festival Plein Air 2022, he will carry out an intervention in a house damaged by storm Alex. Many houses were devastated in the Roya valley, and Georges Rousse wanted to sublimate one of them, thus paying a sensitive tribute to the victims.
The anamorphosis created in Breil-sur-Roya is visible until the house at 109 Promenade Georges Clemenceau is destroyed. The photograph is affixed to a wall on the other bank of the Roya. The photographic work entitled "Breil sur Roya 2022" will continue its journey around the world and has already been exhibited at Paris Photo in the Grand Palais!
