Discover the fascinating world of bees in an area of 2000m2. Wasps, hornets and common garden insects will no longer hold any secrets for you! Guided tour at the foot of the Serre-Ponçon dam: vivariums, films, windmill and giant sculptures.
It's a complete change of scenery, a walk in the kingdom of the little beasts. You'll learn all about our profession as beekeepers during the guided tour and much more besides.
All tours of the Museum are guided and depart at set times. To take a self-guided tour, please telephone for the 2026 summer timetable.
Sandrine and Lionel will accompany you for the duration of the activities: On the programme:
Queen hornet, wasps, bees, spiders, praying mantis, grasshopper and other common garden insects.
Tour of the vivarium areas and visit to the wax workshop.
At the heart of the farm: "Célestin's Mill", a moving animation of the great grandparents' old walnut oil mill, a cocktail of sensations thanks to a surprising audiovisual animation in surround 5.1.
- The farm:
Apiland is above all 3 generations of beekeepers
The Apiland honey factory produces a wide variety of award-winning honeys every year at the Paris Agricultural Show. From the seaside to the mountains of the Ubaye valley, via the Valensole plateaux, our beehives migrate to bring our customers a wide variety of honey. The honey and flower pollen are collected with great respect for the well-being of our bee colonies. Our entire production is sold directly in our boutique, via online sales or used to make our home-made pastries.
- The boutique area:
With its noble materials and subtle scents of honey and gingerbread, our boutique area will tantalise your taste buds and your olfactory senses. More than a dozen different honeys, more than 200 references in products of the hives, cosmetics, confectionery, pastries, French Royal Jelly, honey jams ...
- The restaurant area:
In July and August, enjoy our restaurant area with a plate of tourtons, ravioles, mountain charcuterie or trout from the Ecrins fish farm, goat's cheese, honey, salad, tomatoes, melon.
As an option, we also offer:
- Candle making workshop 6€
- Snack at the farm 8€
