According to the investigations on places of worship of 1899, the Saint-Jacques des Savoyes chapel “is used for baptisms, churching and children’s communion”.
According to abbot Allibert, it is around 1630 that a Saint-Claude chapel was built or restored in Les Savoyes, maybe following the plague. It was located at the bottom of the Savoyes, on the path from Seyne to Saint-Jean. It held until around 1830 and the place was marked with a cross on the side of the road at the crossroad of the Savoyes road. During the 18th century (or maybe in 1671 according to 19th century pastoral visits) another chapel was built in the centre of the hamlet of Les Savoyes dedicated to Saint James and rebuilt in 1843.
