The Col de Tende tunnel, linking France and Italy in the heart of the Alps, has been accessible again since June 28, 2025, with modified opening hours to facilitate modernization work.
ANAS announces: From Friday April 24, 2026, traffic inside the Tende tunnel will be regulated as follows:
Friday April 24 the tunnel will be open continuously from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm
from Italy to France first cycle at 6:00 pm, last cycle at 8:30 pm
from France to Italy first cycle at 6:15pm, last cycle at 8:45pm
FROM SATURDAY APRIL 25, 2026, THE TUNNEL WILL BE OPEN AT THE FOLLOWING TIMES:
From Monday to Friday inclusive, the tunnel will be open for two shifts: 6:00 am - 8:00 am and 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm.
Time slot 6:00 am - 8:00 am
from Italy to France first cycle at 6.00 am, last cycle at 7.30 am
from France to Italy first cycle at 6.15am, last cycle at 7.45am
Time slot 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Italy to France first cycle at 6:00 pm, last cycle at 8:30 pm
from France to Italy first cycle at 6:15pm, last cycle at 8:45pm
On Saturdays, Sundays and Italian public holidays, the tunnel will be open continuously from 6:00 to 21:00.
