From their morphology and sculpted decoration, the nave and choir appear to have been built in the 13th century. The bell tower, a faithful version of the Alpine model whose prototype is the bell tower of Embrun Cathedral, bears the date 1564, but was not completed until 1621 by Dignois masons Jean Roubaud and Pierre Lavigne.
