Establishment labeled quality tourism, the Fernand Léger National Museum is the only museum in the world dedicated to Fernand Léger, a major artist of the 20th century, who lived and worked in Biot.
Painter, decorator, ceramist, sculptor and illustrator, Fernand Léger left a lasting impression on the 20th century through the power of his artistic language and his openness to the changes in the world. Entirely dedicated to this pioneer of modern art, the Fernand Léger National Museum exhibits paintings, sculptures, mosaics and ceramics that show the diversity of his artistic work. Influenced by Cubism, inhabited by the themes of the city and the machine and, later, by the great pictorial tradition, his work is revealed in all its facets in this museum built on the land purchased by the artist just before his death.
