Description

The village nestles at the foot of Mount Ventoux, in the heart of Provence. Its warm tones, ochre facades, picturesque alleys and the fountains and wash-houses around the 13th-century Romanesque church, make it a year-round venue for artists and photographers.
Flassan has always surprised visitors with the warm colours of its façades, with ochre and orange render that turns pink as the sun sets. It is true that the ochre quarries are always near. The deposit begins at the plain of Ventoux, and extends through Flassan, Villes-sur-Auzon and Mormoiron. Disappearing under the Vaucluse Mountains, it resurfaces towards Roussillon and the Luberon. In Flassan, you can try local products throughout the seasons, such as the Côtes du Ventoux AOC wines, olive oil, honey and early fruits like their delicious cherries.
