A versatile cultural space offering an engaging way to explore over 5,000 digitised works from major national and international museums, complemented by activities such as a FabLab (making lab), a virtual reality area and a stage.
Come and discover a brand-new cultural venue that has recently opened in Seyne: the Micro-folie!
In Seyne, the Micro-folie is open to the general public free of charge every Wednesday from 9am to 12 noon and from 2pm to 5pm, and on the first Saturday of the month.
On Thursdays, the venue is dedicated to school groups, offering educational activities centred on art and culture for younger visitors.
Come and discover a selection of works from France’s leading museums, explained by Fanny, the Micro-folie’s educational guide. For an even more immersive experience, you can try out the virtual reality headsets or enjoy the cultural and educational games in the games library.
An exhibition entitled ‘La Voix/e des anciens’ is on display in the Micro-Folie hall, showcasing the diverse lives of Seyne’s oldest residents and bearing witness to their past and the village’s development over the last century.
This Micro-folie, situated on the third floor of the Maison de Pays on the Place d’Armes in Seyne, is an innovative cultural space that gives everyone access to culture and the works of major museums. Using digital tools and interactive displays, it provides access to collections from leading institutions, without the need to travel to major cities.
Finally, a ‘Fablab’ workshop will take place every other Wednesday evening from 28 January, between 5.30 pm and 7.30 pm. Run by volunteers who are keen to share their knowledge and skills, this makerspace enables participants to create and experiment whilst learning how to use digital machines such as a 3D printer, a digital embroidery machine, a cutting machine and other digital equipment. In conjunction with the Micro-Folie, these Fablab workshops bring together artistic, technological and experimental creation and form part of an approach centred on sharing skills and mutual support, fostering independent learning, creativity and local innovation.
If you have any questions or would like further information about the Micro-folie, please contact the liaison officer by email.
So come along now and discover this new venue. We hope to see lots of you there!
