Grobet-Labadié museum houses, in a beautifuk XIXth century private mansion owning rich collections belonging to a merchant family from the Marseille bourgeoisie, at its heigh after 1848.
The Grobet Labadié Museum is located in the immediate vicinity of the Palais Longchamp, in the beautiful mansion of a great Marseilles family. The richness and diversity of the collection, bequeathed by Marie Labadié after the death of her husband, illustrates the tastes and passions of the couple of collectors for the decorative arts, painting and music... The atmosphere of the salons, the eclecticism of the collections, the refined and sometimes rare or unusual character of the objects give a particular charm to this discovery.
