A newly created astronomical observatory will allow you to observe the Sun during the day and at night to discover and understand the nature of the different objects that make up the Universe, accompanied by a scientific mediator who is a graduate of the Paris Observatory and the Côte d'Azur Observatory.
ACTIVITIES:
During the day
– Presentation of the observatory and the different instruments
– Observation of the sun through 2 types of instruments to visualize sunspots on the photosphere and also to observe plasma jets (prominences) in H-alpha light
Duration: approximately 1 hour
Price: €10 for adults and €5 for children aged 6 and over
At night
– Presentation of the observatory and the various instruments
– A journey through the night sky: the constellations of the season and their associated myths
– Observation of the Moon and planets visible at the time, and explanation of the different formations and features visible
– Presentation of the various objects in the Universe and observation of the major types of celestial objects beyond the solar system
