This water reservoir was built overlooking the village to secure the domestic water supply. A magnificent view can be enjoyed from the foot of the reservoir.
From Rue de la Colombière, as you climb up to the foot of the water reservoir, you'll overlook the roofs of the Saint Dalmas houses clustered at your feet.
In front of you, the Gialorgues valley, dominated by the Fort Carra massif.
Finally, behind the reservoir, the large embankment is a protective merlon, holding back any stones that may fall from the Rocher de Junic just above.
You're in the middle of a karstic massif here, and although the limestone rock of Junic offers great holds for climbers, it does tend to erode due to weather conditions and alternating freezing and thawing.
Enjoy this unique view!
