Marble, stained glass windows, coats of arms, French-style statue... The castle of Tallard, classified as a historical monument since 1958, is one of the most notable medieval fortified buildings in the Hautes Alpes. The first towers of the castle date from 1215.

Its walls, flanked by circular towers, enclose a huge inner courtyard, a late Gothic chapel, a guardhouse, and the feudal lord’s residence. Guided tours from the beginning of July to mid-September. Exhibitions and shows in summer. Group tours available all year round, booking required.
