The ROUTE D'OR is an international gathering of Citroën 2CVsin Grasse. Its name comes from the road that winds through the mimosa forest in bloom in February.
All the members of the 2CV Club Côte d'Azur have been working hard for many months to put on a very successful and comprehensive weekend for enthusiasts.
Each event attracts around 300 "deuches" (2CV fans) from all over France and even Europe (with participants attending the event from Italy, Switzerland, Holland and Belgium).
The town of Grasse is hosting the event, making the Esplanade du Cours and the Palais des Congrès available from Saturday morning.
The event offers an exceptional view over the Bay of Cannes, and is decorated in the colours of the theme chosen for each year (we're in Carnival season), with a welcome bag, rally plaque, costumes and a creation based on a 2CV on wheels.
