This group brings together three world musicians for a sonic reverie blending dub, Latin and oriental influences, rumba, pop, and chill electro. A poetic and worldly music, carried by the spirit of travel, the sea, and interwoven identities.
Afrasonic y El Globish Poetry Orchestra is the musical transcription of a poetic reverie.
Twenty years after making their instruments resonate in the French Riviera's alternative scene, Othman Ihrai, a Moroccan musician and poet, Manu Cacerès, an Argentinian percussionist and singer, and Gregory Lampis, a saxophonist and DJ from Nice, reunite today to sing of love for their homeland, for travel, for the sea, for their own people and for others, to sing the praises of the moon and the sun, and to give back to the world a little of their poetry. At the crossroads of multiple identities, the trio offers original music, tinged with Dub, Latin and Oriental influences, blending rumba, pop, chill electro, Hip Hop, and French chanson into a single whole.
