Rosela Libertad was born in Humberto Primo, Argentina, and now lives in the south of France. Rosela draws on the music of the "llanura" (milongas, estilos, zambas, waltzes, tangos) as the basis of her repertoire and the essence of her inspiration.
Her show "Alegoría Argentina" is a journey over the vast musical expanses of her country, steeped in a history of immigration and tradition, where she harvests the best pearls. With her guitar, she takes the audience on a journey through the music of Latin America in a repertoire of timeless, universal songs.
Rosela embodies both the soul of Argentina, with its songs and culture, and a thirst for openness to music from all over the world.
Since her arrival in France in 2021, she has collaborated with Stéphane Casalta on a number of projects: the duo Magicanima, the show Canti a Lucendiluna with the "Armoniosoincanto" choir from Perugia, she has produced an album (Animantiga), and participated in the show and educational project "Dì u mare" (poems and songs from the Mediterranean).
She has also taken part in festivals such as the World Music Festival in Sassari (Sardegna), Festivoce (Corsica), and sang for the Handi Formation days at Montpellier's Paul Valéry University. The concert with the prestigious pianist and composer Oscar Del Barba at the Georges Brassens auditorium in St. Gély du Fesc was also a memorable moment.
Little by little, Rosela is winning the hearts of European audiences: the growing number of people who follow her on social networks and at her concerts attests to this. She speaks to all audiences with a fluid, intense voice, both popular and lyrical, imbued with emotion in a unique and sincere relationship with her audience.
