A man walks through a wintry countryside landscape. He doesn't look like he's from around here: he's Pierre. The snow is falling, and he arrives at the threshold of the village that will welcome him. He seems to have no objective other than to follow what the present tells him.
From the very first seconds, the audience is drawn in by the impressive set design: ten tableaux-décors bursting with detail follow one another, housing around twenty long string puppets of varying scales.
‘Pierre's story’ in the castelet is punctuated by Black Breaks, plunging us into a dark, supernatural atmosphere. The precision of the handling takes us back to the heyday of puppetry.
Some scenes may offend the sensibilities of the audience.
