For Aragon, Paris has always been at the heart of his work, the place where his passions lie...
Adapted and directed by Jean-Paul Schintu
From his childhood in Neuilly, then avenue Carnot; the time of surrealism in the twenties and night-time wanderings in Pigalle, Montmartre or Montparnasse, to his successive homes with Elsa: rue Campagne Première, rue de la Soudière then rue de Varenne... and in his last years, the magnificent old man with the long white mane who still strolled late at night on boulevard Saint Germain...
Paris is present in every corner of his poetic and novelistic works.
I invite you on a journey through Paris, following the poet on his peregrinations and the successive poetic forms to which he submitted; a journey through the 20th century, which Aragon traversed from end to end.
Musical accompaniment: Nino Rota
Running time: 1 hour 05 minutes
