The old Saint-Laurent church in Eygalières is hosting the sixth edition of the themed exhibition organised by the Association Eygalières Terre d'Artistes.
The exhibition, entitled ‘AU-DELÀ’, kicks off the 2025 season.
It features the work of around thirty artists, painters, photographers, visual artists and sculptors, all of whom have taken up the challenge of a relevant subject.
The great ‘beyond’ of our time is the ‘beyond’ of our screens: the Internet, which virtually brings together all the ‘elsewhere’ and all the ‘others’, while at the same time distancing real life.
In ‘beyond’ there is a here and now, and an ‘elsewhere’, a further away. ‘Beyond’ carries with it the notion of going beyond, and therefore of limits, but also of questioning.
Whether it's overcoming an obstacle, revealing or imagining the invisible, it's about exploring, with desire, fear or fascination, the unknown, the beyond. ‘Beyond’ basically means “further than”: beyond reality, beyond limits, beyond the horizon, beyond the imagination, beyond the visible, even beyond the terrestrial.
Each artist brings his or her own vision, going behind the looking glass!
‘AU-DELA’, a subject to widen the world...
Opening in the presence of the artists: Friday 18 April at 6pm
