A former dancer at the Paris Opera, Laura Bachman has been charting a unique career path for several years. Today, she is reaffirming her choreographic style with a second creation.
In 2023, she unveiled Ne me touchez pas, a critically acclaimed first piece, in which she shared the stage with Marion Barbeau, the main character in Cédric Klapisch's film En corps. For this new creation, she reunites with her faithful performer and four other artists to embody a heroine freely inspired by Jean-Philippe Toussaint's MMMM tetralogy. Laura Bachman thus pursues an approach at the crossroads of disciplines: between dance, literature and the performing arts, she composes a hybrid and sensitive language, where bodies translate intimate impulses, resistances, desires. With her five performers, she opens the first chapter of a resolutely feminist and liberating choreographic research.
