The Bremen Youth Symphony Orchestra is made up of 80 musicians aged between 14 and 22. The Winterthur Youth Symphony Orchestra is made up of advanced instrumentalists from the city and its region aged over 14.
The Bremen Youth Symphony Orchestra is the only youth orchestra in the small German state of Bremen. Founded by Heiner Buhlmann in 1980 with a small group of young musicians from the Bremen School of Music, the orchestra quickly grew to symphonic proportions and has been developing a whole range of projects for many years. Martin Lentz has been its conductor since 2012.

Together, the young members of the Winterthur Symphony Orchestra cultivate their passion for the orchestral repertoire and forge musical friendships. As a rule, three programmes a year are developed and performed in numerous concerts and tours. Emphasis is also placed on cooperation with the Musikkollegium Winterthur, and the collaboration of various renowned choirs and soloists. Admission to the orchestra is decided by audition before the conductor and assistant conductor.

Programme: Prokofiev - Handel - Martinu - Dvorak - Schubert
