This 100% all-female quartet will be performing excerpts from Antonio Vivaldi's The Four Seasons, Queen (Bohemian Rhapsody-Love of my life-Show must go on), Abba (Money Money-Gimmi), Billy Eilish (Lovely) and The Beatles (Yesterday).
Cécile Freyssenede - Violin 1
Cécile Freyssenede began her musical studies at the Conservatoire of Monaco, then Roquebrune Cap-Martin, before obtaining her Diploma of Musical Studies at the Conservatoire of Nice in 2009. In 2012, she entered the Haute Ecole de Musique de Genève, where she obtained her Bachelor's degree in 2015, followed by her Master's degree in Orchestra in 2017. Her career has enabled her to perform with major orchestras and take part in international tours. Alongside her career as a musician, she plays in chamber music ensembles. She has been a violinist with the Orchestre Philharmonique de Marseille since 2018.
Cécile Bousquet-Melou - Violin 2
After winning a unanimous Gold Medal at the Bordeaux Conservatoire in 1995 and a First Prize at the Paris Conservatoire in 1997, Cécile Bousquet-Melou entered the Paris Conservatoire in the violin class of Gérard Jarry and the chamber music classes of Alain Meunier and Daria Hovora. She obtained her prize in 2000 and joined the Marseille Philharmonic Orchestra in 2001. She plays in various orchestras (Paris, Toulouse, Montpellier and Cannes). Passionate about chamber music, she plays 1st violin in the Quatuor Garance.
Anna Startseva-Duval - Viola
After studying music at the conservatoires of Marseille and Avignon, she went on to study at the conservatoire in Rueil-Malmaison, where she won the violin prize in 2001 and the viola prize in 2003. Passionate about musical diversity, alongside classical music, Anna is interested in contemporary music, improvisation, Klezmer and contemporary music, which has led her to perform at festivals in various countries, and to play in different orchestras (Toulon, Marseille, Lyon, Cannes...). She teaches at the Conservatoire de Martigues.
Vanessa Crousier - Cello.
After studying music at the Nice and Marseille Conservatoires, she went on to perfect her cello and chamber music skills at the Paris Conservatoire. Equally passionate about teaching, she obtained her Certificat d'Aptitude from the Paris Conservatoire. She performs in various chamber music ensembles and with the Toulon Opera orchestra.
