With Es lo temps, Miquèu Montanaro creates a dialogue between the langue d'oc and the chanson québécoise. Carried along by a rich instrumental palette, the concert celebrates the long tradition of transmission and the living links between cultures.
Early in his career as a musician, composer and singer, Miquèu Montanaro had the good fortune to meet Gilles Vigneault, Quebec poet, singer and man of letters. Vigneault was already well known. Montanaro was just starting out, but had already translated one of the Quebec poet's unmusical texts into Occitan. After hearing it, Vigneault encouraged the novice singer to continue. He also told him he liked the sound of the langue d'oc.
Since then, Montanaro's career as a composer has taken him to a multitude of countries, often to Canada and particularly to Quebec. There, he met many musicians, notably those of the Strada ensemble. It was almost forty years later that Montanaro was finally able to take the time to translate twelve other Vigneault songs, brought to the stage as a trio by the voices of Liette Remon and Miquèu Montanaro, the piano of Nadia Delisle and the range of instruments wielded by these three multi-instrumentalists: accordion, flutes, violin, clarinet, percussion...

Nadia Delisle: A pianist with classical and jazz training, as well as an accordionist, she plays in a wide range of traditional and world music ensembles.
