Attend the conference: The unique features of the history of the Vaucluse department on Friday 12 December at 6.30 pm.

Lecture led by Professor Emeritus René Moulinas (University of Avignon), offering a fascinating insight into the unique history of the territory now known as the department of Vaucluse, formerly dominated by the entities of Comtat Venaissin and the city-state of Avignon.

You will discover how these lands, long under papal sovereignty, were annexed to France in 1791 — a major historical turning point that shaped the identity of the region.
