Formed in Nice in 1992, Corpus Delicti quickly established itself as a reference in gothic rock with its first album Twilight, combining post-punk energy and captivating melodies.
After three acclaimed albums, the band split up in 1997, but their influence continued to grow thanks to a loyal international fanbase and the rediscovery of their work by younger generations. Reissued by the American label Cleopatra in 2019, they are now considered one of the major bands of the genre, alongside The Cure, Bauhaus, and Joy Division.
Reforming in 2022, the quartet made a triumphant return with sold-out concerts in Europe and Latin America, a double live album (From Dust to Light, 2024), and acclaimed new singles. In 2025, Corpus Delicti returned with Liminal, an album that is both dark and luminous, true to their heritage while embracing modernity, thus confirming their status as a key player in the international post-punk dark scene.
