Hosted by Le Hublot as part of the ProPhilia festival, this residency presented by CADMIUM Compagnie is a choreographic exploration of the female body, desire and the gaze.
Contemporary dance performance: five women share their common solitude, letting themselves be affected by what affects them, under the distant gaze of the absent other. Exposed and observed, intimate and enigmatic, desire is refracted in a game of mirrors where closed worlds open up to the radiance of shared pleasure. Until we rediscover the all-consuming passion of living.
Contagion is life, when it's the virus of desire that circulates. Isolated, the body collapses, powerless. It's the other that pushes us to move, however disturbed. Is the image enough to awaken the singular force that unites us, or is it merely a simulacrum that leaves us powerless? The idea for the show was born during the pandemic, as a strategy of resistance: women sharing their common solitude, letting themselves be touched by what touches them, under the distant gaze of the absent other.
