Meeting with Nuto Revelli and his survey of women farmers. In the heart of our mountains resound the voices of peasant women, let's listen to them... Come and meet Patrizia Atzei and Armelle Girinon, Nuto Revelli's translators.
Together, they will present the figure of this famous Resistance fighter and author, who is nevertheless little known in France.
His story is rooted in this border region, in the Franco-Italian Alps, and in Saorge in particular.
Nuto Revelli collected the stories of Piedmontese peasant women, which he recorded and transcribed in his book "L'anello forte" (The strong link).
Extracts from these recordings will be played and the first translations of the stories will be read by the translators.
This will be followed by a discussion on these themes with the audience.
We warmly invite you to take part in this exchange by sharing your own experiences: the cultural, geographical, historical and economic context of these accounts will undoubtedly echo the family stories of the inhabitants of our valley.
We look forward to hearing from you!
