Eliades Ochoa is one of the most important Cuban musicians of all time; a notable defender of traditional Cuban music, he is one of the finest guitarists of his generation.
He is one of the stars of the historic "Buena Vista Social Club" album, which celebrates its 25th anniversary, and is credited with memorable renditions of "Chan Chan" and "El Cuarto de Tula". Eliades Ochoa has also collaborated with international music icons such as Manu Dibango, Charlie Musselwhite, Ry Cooder and Toumani Diabate, among others, and more recently with contemporary Spanish musicians such as Bunbury and C. Tangana.
