Nicole Reynaud exhibits her works at the Maison Flotte on Sanary harbor. An invitation to escape, to daydream...
Color, joy and optimism are still very much present in Nicole Reynaud's paintings. She likes to paint on canvas with her fingers, using few brushes. For her, the sensation of touch evokes a dialogue, a caress, sometimes a struggle with the canvas. Portraits and gazes, especially of women, are a window onto the soul. Overlays are made with spatulas and often enhanced with natural pigments. The use and insertion of salvaged materials such as leather, old posters, etc. are also present in her creations. Current events and the world around her are all subjects of inspiration, and the question of "meaning" is always present in her paintings.
