Fascinated by abandoned places, HUGUES BERTIN explores and photographs many abandoned greenhouses in the Var.
"I decide to recover these materials full of history and print my photographs directly on them. To restore the atmosphere from which the glass comes, I make my own steel frames that I voluntarily let rust. My works are based on the traces of man's passage that fade over time: abandonment, oblivion and materials that decompose in the face of natural elements. All this in an atmosphere that is essential to me: the marine world.
