EXHIBITION ‘SHELTERS’

Opening on Saturday, 7 March 2026 from 6 p.m to 8p.m.
To develop this series of paintings and drawings, Mathieu Schmitt designed an electromechanical device and computer programs able of guiding ballpoint pens, pencils or brushes across a sheet of paper or a canvas.
Mathieu Schmitt engages in dialogue with artificial intelligence, sharing his intentions regarding the representation he wishes to achieve while refining the description throughout the course of the conversation. The exhibition “Shelters” invites viewers to discover these recent works, where utopian architectural projects, bouquets of flowers, numerous shelters, and those who build them intertwine.
