Exhibition: Véronique Didierlaurent, Martine Cassin and Catherine Auger-Canault
A self-taught painter and sculptor for nearly 25 years, VÉRONIQUE DIDIERLAURENT offers an essentially feminine universe in both painting and sculpture: little girls, portraits, busts, readers, bathers, ... By turns wise, burlesque, sexy sometimes.
A whole poetic world, funny and tender at the same time. In painting, she also tries unusual supports, such as cardboard, and combines collages and painting on certain canvases...
A student of V. Didierlaurent's sculpture workshop for several years, MARTINE CASSIN has also taken painting and drawing classes for 10 years. Through a joyful and whimsical artistic expression, in her sculptures, as in her paintings, she takes us on a journey through her imagination, through a quirky and inventive universe!
CATHERINE AUGER-CANAULT has been a student of V. Didierlaurent's workshop for 9 years, and has always taken art classes. She is passionate about painting and especially about paper in all its forms... paper that she glues with patience on her canvases, in diverse, poetic and imaginative compositions. Her
sculptures also respond to this universe. Her themes are varied: from the classical to the more contemporary, even a little comic sometimes, but always interesting and exciting to detail!
