Through the lens of Pascal Perez and the words of Jean-François Caille, this photographic exhibition invites us to meet those we pass by without always seeing them.

The volunteers of the Ordre de Malte France in Paris go out on the streets to meet people whose lives have, one day, been turned upside down. The challenge of this exhibition is to bring out the humanity of the men and women we meet every day. While most of us dare not meet their eyes, out of a sense of powerlessness, discomfort or for many other reasons... Photographer Pascal Perez and journalist Jean-François Caille, both volunteers with the Ordre de Malte France delegation based in the 15th arrondissement of Paris, have gone against the grain.
