Monique Vanmollekot welcomes visitors to Galerie La Cure, where she showcases her creations and invites them to discover and try their hand at working with clay
After a career in finance, she chose to turn her attention to values more closely aligned with people and nature.
Trained in the arts and crafts in Belgium, she began by creating bespoke dishes and plates for young Michelin-starred chefs.
In 2019, she opened her studio, Le Tour des Alpilles, in Provence – a creative space inspired by the light, rock and landscapes of the Alpilles.
At the heart of her workshop, she crafts unique pieces, entirely handmade, using an intuitive approach without a potter’s wheel.
Her work, both contemporary and elegant, is part of an eco-responsible approach, mindful of local resources and waste reduction.
