Torchlight visit of the Annonciade chapel, for children and adults. Free, registration with the Art, History and Archaeology Department of the town of Martigues.
Another way to see the chapel: plunged into darkness, visitors can use a torchlight to discover various points of view to tell the story of the chapel and its Baroque decorations.

Listed as a historic monument since 1910, the chapel is located in the Jonquières district of Martigues town centre, behind the church of St Genest. It was built in the 17th century for the brotherhood of white penitents.

This jewel of Provencal Baroque art is a must-see! The sobriety of its exterior façade contrasts with its dazzling interior decoration: painted and ornate ceilings, wall frescoes, painted and sculpted plant motifs, sculpted and gilded ornaments, trompe-l'œil...
