A full day of dancing and concerts awaits you! Here are the bands who'll set the dancefloor alight: DRACHE, LES PATATES SOUND SYSTEM, CRaCOTTE, OSSO! With bonus jam-packed afters.
The program :
DRACHE
Eva Cloteau, cello - vocals, and Morgane Labbe, double bass - vocals, take up the Haut-Breton repertoire for an organic, intoxicating duo of Breton music to dance and listen to, tinged with a few Occitan touches.
with a hint of Occitan. Voices sound, respond, resonate and respond again, like a game with matter and its echoes.
LES PATATES SOUND SYSTEM
Their music could just as easily evoke a traditional ball as a progressive rock concert or a techno party. All wrapped up in a unique sound: the powerful, bewitching strings
the powerful, bewitching strings of the hurdy-gurdy/horn duo fuse with old-school synths and riffs of "western" scratches. Drums, banjo and machines slice through the mix, inviting dancers of all styles to join in the collective trance.
CRaCOTTE
Everything starts with a sound, a noise, a rhythm or a melody. Like a cracotte to which we add ever-changing ingredients, the (danceable) music in this project starts with an idea and is gradually fleshed out by the looper. His instruments, like his inspirations, are in levitation, and the sound of this solo is new on the Breton scene. With the help of a soprano saxophone and a baritone, Simon's voice carries us through melodies of waltz, polka, scottish and other dances of Brittany, pulsating to the rhythm of the beat box. A neo-folk, neo-trad, neo-accoustic set. Everything is done live, for a unique moment of amplified music. Alone on stage between the clacking of the crab and the whistling of the groundhog.
OSSO
The duo OSSO (Oscillateurs Sonneurs) is an experimental project for dance (fest-noz & bal folk) or brothers. Le Breton, inspired by the tradition of couplet ringers, replace acoustic instruments with synthesizers, wrapping the themes in electro sounds, all live and four-handed.
