Ready for an evening of action? Here are the bands who'll set the dancefloor on fire: LABO BICOUSES, ZLABYA & Laia Escartin and SOOZ X! Plus trad dance initiations and jam-packed afters.
The program:
Zlabya & laïa escartin [synth-folk quintet]
Zlabya is a sultry instrumental quintet, using the folk ball as a playground. Each dance is a new attraction, a new merry-go-round in which to revel. The melodies are multicolored backdrops, landscapes where the shifting relief inevitably prompts you to wiggle. Every step is a sideways step, and the ground is lava. A versatile, romantic and bittersweet excursion, this two-taste ball is a story without words, a match on the dancefloor. The team returns in multicolored chasubles to make all certified parquet floors smoke!
Labô bicouseS [TRAD ardéchois 2.0, sensitive electro poetic ball]
This duo of multi-instrumentalist singers revisits a repertoire of traditional songs collected in the Ardèche. What are they doing in their "LabÔ"? No blouses here! Dressed in their finest Bicouses*, Agnès and Camille bring their talent and passion to each song chosen from the region's musical heritage, blending voices, traditional instruments and modern technologies. They blend the acoustic sounds of traditional instruments (flutes, bagpipes, drums, tambourines and other small percussion instruments...) with modern sounds and technologies (loop pedals, sound effects, beatboxes...) as well as mignonettes, sound objects and other gadgets. They harmonize and rearrange these melodies and songs, for a joyful sonic experience!
LabÔ Bicouses can be listened to, contemplated, danced to... in short, adapted to a wide variety of contexts, from intimate concerts to lively festivals and folk balls.
Sooz x [ELECTRO / TRAD / HUMANO-TELLURIQUE]
A multi-dimensional experience, SOOZ X invites you to a grand ball that borrows elements from pop culture in form and alternative culture in substance. Here, music reaches out to dance, for an uninhibited, shimmering proposition that feels like a collective game where everyone wins! SOOZ X revisits folk ball music with electro dance songs.
What is certain is that this music comes from the future and traces a contemporary musical spiral between moving bodies and imaginary worlds.
