Ilan ELBAZ Trio
In 2019, with his conservatory diplomas in classical and jazz under his arm, Ilan Elbaz perfected his skills at the prestigious Centre des Musiques Didier Lockwood and the Pôle Supérieur de Paris Boulogne Billancourt. At the same time, he formed his own trio with the services of the talented drummer Jules Wallemme and the double bass player and artistic director of the project Christophe Wallemme (co-founder of the Prysm trio, Minino Garay, David Linx...).
Offering a music where listening, interplay and spontaneity are put at the service of compositions with an elegant and neat architecture, " Beyond The Door " tints its aesthetics with influences ranging from traditional and current jazz (Aaron Parks, Shai Maestro...) to classical (Debussy, Ravel, Chopin...) and rock (Pink Floyd, Radiohead...). Strongly inspired by the Israeli jazz scene because of his origins, the young pianist Ilan Elbaz invites you to push the door on a personal and already very assertive universe that will not leave you indifferent.
We are proud to offer our stage to Ilan who has lived our Festival as a volunteer.
- Ilan Elbaz - Piano
- Christophe Wallemme - Double bass

Robin McKELLE - "Impressions of Ella
The joy of singing, a bold talent
From country to R&B, Robin McKelle has devoted his entire career to exploring the vastness of American music. With Impressions of Ella, the veteran artist returns to her first love: jazz.
"I wasn't writing so much anymore," she explains. "I wasn't singing much, and I really missed performing. When I started thinking about my next project, I found a feeling that was very present during the long months of the pandemic: a strong nostalgia and the need to get back to my roots. I felt that it was time to move on and find that traditional swing that helped me to get through the long months of the pandemic.
I felt it was time to move on and rediscover that traditional swing that helped me break through in my career as an artist.
"Impressions of Ella" reveals a more experienced and savvy Robin McKelle. More than 15 years after her first album, she is finally ready to face the emotional charge of these jazz standards. "My voice has matured, and so have I. I felt that at this point in my life, these lyrics had meaning for me, and that I could interpret these stories, because I had lived them.
With 'Impressions of Ella' Robin McKelle does not attempt to reinvent everything or limit her potential for creative expression. While praising our "First Lady of Song", the album marks an inevitable coming-of-age for Robin, at a time in her career when her hard work
hard work is finally paying off.
