"ANATOLE" ... that's a well-worn term in the world of jazz, so you won't be surprised by the repertoire of this septet, which takes us on a veritable journey through a century of jazz and the great composers.

- Wednesday June 26: French Sumo Trio
French Sumo is a trio created́ in 1996 and unchanged́ since, to perform a repertoire drawn from Mainstream Jazz, Swing (Monty Alexander, Oscar Peterson), Latin Jazz (Michel Camilo, Sonny Rollins) as well as French standards (Michel Legrand, Claude Nougaro, Gilbert Bécaud) to which they bring freshness and new dynamics through original or selected arrangements.

Always positive and enthusiastic, he has a caustic sense of humor and flawless musicalitý. Loyal to his mentors Wynton Marsalis, Woody Shaw, Booker Little, Clifford Brown.He is reputed́ to be a generous, tireless soloist, with a powerful, round, fluid and supple sound, in a great Hard Boppers tradition.

Andrea Caparros' musical universe is an echo of his origins. Her repertoire, a veritable voyage in sound, navigates between original compositions and daring arrangements, celebrating the predominant influence of Brazilian music while opening doors to the diversity of jazz where improvisation and immediacy come together. Andrea's sincere voice, supported by the generosity of her musicians, embodies the quintessence of musical emotion.
