Tutu is a multi-disciplinary, zany show, with a succession of humorous and poetic scenes that set the pace. Visuals are paramount to the show's aesthetic: it's shiny, it spins, it's colourful, lively and catchy. Added to this dynamic is a whimsical and imaginative play on costumes, materials and dishevelled wigs. Everything is designed to surprise in this graphic and sonic shift.
Philippe Lafeuille's direction combines the grotesque with humour to the point of cliché. In a twist on classical codes, the performers never fail to surprise: the Chicos Mambo set fire to everything they do."
