Gaspard de Besse: Discover the legend of the famous Provencal bandit in the comic book of the same name!
Temporary exhibition dedicated to the legendary figure of the famous Provencal bandit, featuring original comic strips by Behem, an author and illustrator from the Var region.
This presentation highlights the story of Gaspard de Besse, his myths and his cultural imprint, through explanatory panels, original comic strips and unique posters. Thanks to a loan from the Médiathèque départementale du Var, the exhibition is enriched by an area dedicated to discovering comics and how they are produced: Comics are an art form, in fact they're the ninth art form, and we'll explain everything to you!
During the vernissage on Friday February 13 at 6pm, Behem, the author of the plates on display, will be offering an exclusive signing session for his brand-new book, which brings together several volumes of the comic strip in a single volume. Don't miss this opportunity to meet him.
Younger visitors can also take part in a comic book workshop organized by the Ollioules Média-ludothèque team, on Wednesday February 25 from 2 to 4 p.m. (free with registration - places are limited).
For a few weeks, at the Musée de la fleur, we'll be taking you on a journey to the heart of the 18th century and comic strips, to meet a character who left his mark on the Provencal imagination, and the author of the comic strip "Gaspard de Besse: Behem".
For the February 25 comic book workshop: online MAPADO registration (places are limited).
