Join us as young volunteers at the Castellas d'Aureille restoration project from 18 to 25 April!
The Club du Vieux Manoir is a French popular education association founded in 1952, which has been working for over 70 years to preserve and promote heritage. A pioneer in organising heritage work camps, the Club invites young volunteers to participate in the restoration of historic monuments while enjoying an enriching collective experience: sharing, solidarity, learning traditional skills and group living are at the heart of its project. The association is active throughout France and welcomes hundreds of young people aged 14 and over every year to take part in practical projects to preserve built heritage.
From 18 to 25 April, the Club du Vieux Manoir is organising a heritage project at Castellas d'Aureille, in the heart of the magnificent Alpilles region.
Open to teenagers and young adults (aged 14 to 21) interested in restoration.
On this youth volunteer project, participants learn techniques such as stone cutting and traditional masonry in a friendly and educational setting.
Beyond the work on the medieval monument, the communal living, discovery of the region and exchanges between volunteers make this useful week's holiday a rich and motivating human adventure.
Information and registration on the Club du Vieux Manoir website.
