The Hôtel de Sade presents two major events: a reading and discussion with Jacques Ravenne and a dramatised reading by Isabelle Mentré!
From 5pm on Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th January, the Hôtel de Sade opens its doors for Les Nuits de la Lecture (Nights of Reading).
As part of the 10th edition of Nuits de la lecture, a major national cultural event dedicated to the pleasure of reading and literature on the theme of Cities and the Countryside, the Hôtel de Sade is offering two free literary events open to all.
- On Saturday 24 January at 5pm, come and attend a reading and discussion with author Jacques Ravenne, writer of detective novels and specialist in literary history, for a fascinating immersion in his works and enriching exchanges with the audience.
- On Sunday 25 January at 5pm, take part in a theatrical reading by Isabelle Mentré, who skilfully stages selected excerpts from Maupassant and Proust, exploring the links between literature and society, from the social salons of the 19th century to the modernity of reading.
These events are aimed at all lovers of words and reading, in a historic location emblematic of Provençal heritage, for a convivial, artistic and cultural celebration of reading in all its forms.
