Jazz in Arles celebrates its 30th anniversary! This anniversary edition is like a journey: from the intimate to the collective, from tradition to experimentation, from whispered voices to the freest impulses.
For three decades, Le Méjan has been bringing jazz to Arles. For its 30th edition, the Jazz in Arles festival invites you to five days of concerts featuring nationally and internationally renowned artists, regional talent, and new voices in contemporary jazz. An ambitious program open to all, designed as a complete artistic experience, enriched by encounters and cultural events in partnership with the Actes Sud bookstore and the Cinéma du Méjan. An intimate, curious festival, open to the world—true to its spirit of discovery. Program: > Evening 1 – May 27 • Louis Sclavis – 5TET INDIA A soundscape inspired by India, between composition and luminous improvisation • Duo Brady Two cellos between jazz, folk, and contemporary music Jazz Migration 2025 winners > Evening 2 – May 28 • Gabi Hartmann A magnetic voice, a poetic universe between jazz, pop, folk, and Latin America. • Sorvina Jazz rap, neo-soul, and alternative hip-hop. Narrative music carried by groove and identity. > Evening 3 – May 29 • Edward Perraud – Trio From shadow to dawn: an intense exploration of space and light • Céline Bonacina & Laurent Dehors A vibrant dialogue between saxophones, clarinets, and unexpected timbres > Evening 4 – May 30 • Robinson Khoury – Demi-Lune Quartet Classical Arabic music, minimalism, and Western heritage • Kham Meslien Immersive solo double bass, improvisation, and sound textures > Inauguration of the Jazz Department at the Pays d'Arles Conservatory – May 31 • “Brass Band Second Line” concert by the Pays d'Ales Conservatory, conducted by Dominique Eldin and Julien Bellec • Conference “Crossed perspectives: the history of jazz, from the United States to the Pays d'Arles.” • “Jazz Black Queens” concert In partnership with the Actes Sud bookstore and the Cinéma du Méjan.
