Je badine avec l'amour (Because all men are so imperfect and so awful)
Referencing dance history from the 90s to the present day with humor and depth, Sylvain Riéjou creates a veritable collision between Alfred de Musset (On ne badine pas avec l'amour) and Patrick Swayze (Dirty Dancing)! The choreographer launches into a declaration of love to his performers, but also to the actor who is no stranger to his first homosexual feelings, nor to his perception of seduction, which he built up through the stereotypes of the mainstream films of the 80s.
For the first time, he invites other dancers into his autofiction. Between re-enactments of scenes from the film and iconic - and ironic - passages by contemporary choreographers, this spoken-dance quartet presents a cartography of the body and desire.
