Families, teenagers, and children—discover the garden in a different way. With a science kit in hand, step into the shoes of apprentice scientists to save the garden from the threats it faces. Time is running out!
Game for ages 8–13: Budding Scientists
Carla Montanea is an ecology scientist specializing in the study of alpine plants. Above all, she is passionate about nature and spends as much time outdoors as possible! She closely observes plants—remarkable living beings that must cope with harsh high-altitude conditions: cold, wind, snow, and intense sunlight. In recent years, Carla and her team have been working on climate change. How will altitude-adapted plants react if the snow disappears? If temperatures rise? But Carla had to leave suddenly. To publish her results on time and advance scientific knowledge, it’s up to you to carry out the investigation.
Game for ages 13 and up: SOS Garden!
Mira studies pollution that threatens mountain ecosystems, especially plants. One evening, while working late in the lab, she overheard a conversation through the window. A malicious group is planning to spread a powerful and destructive chemical in the coming days, just above the Lautaret Garden! It would be a disaster for all the preserved plants and the scientific projects conducted here. This group must be stopped at all costs. Mira has gone to warn the researchers about the imminent threat. She left you her garden access badge along with scientific equipment. It’s up to you to follow the scientific method, solve each puzzle, and find the secret code that will alert the authorities and perhaps save the Lautaret Garden! Your move!
