June.19 - The Olympic flame passes through Avignon

"Vaucluse takes to the Games", bringing the magic of the Olympics closer to the people of Vaucluse.

To celebrate this exceptional event in style, two days of festivities are on offer:
Tuesday June 18 :
- 6pm - cours Jean Jaurès : Giant Achilles, a five-metre-high puppet, parades through the town center. This demigod will be accompanied by acrobats and stilt-walkers from the Circomancha company, who will lead the crowd to the Place du Palais des papes.
