Keziah Jones
A committed musician who has never been afraid to embrace pop, Keziah Jones remains attached to his Nigerian roots without allowing that to prevent him from being nomadic. The inventor of a major and unstoppable style, blufunk, Keziah Jones is always ready to reinvent himself.
After a twelve-year hiatus, Keziah Jones is back with a bang with a manifesto-like opus, mischievously titled Alive and Kicking. The artist imagined it as a thread running through his career, a sort of “summary of previous episodes”. This new album combines covers, two new compositions and his greatest hits in live versions. The project was recorded with the loyal members of his band in the city of his childhood, Lagos, Nigeria. A return to his roots.
A multidisciplinary artist without limits, impervious to the passage of time... We will never finish discovering the discreet and inspiring Olufemi Sanyaolu, a.k.a. Mister Jones.
Fearless Flyers
The Fearless Flyers were originally formed by two musicians from Vulfpeck (a famous funk band from Michigan that attracts brilliant musicians): bassist Joe Dart and guitarist Cory Wong. The quartet is rounded out by a second guitarist, Mark Lettieri from Snarky Puppy, and the phenomenal Nate Smith, who lets loose behind the drums. The idea was to create a fast-paced four-piece band with two guitars and a bass covering three distinct sound ranges, accompanied by drums. The result is an edgy sound for a dance-machine-like funk compendium.
