Final concert of the chamber music residency at the Hôtel Maynier d'Oppède. Instrumentalists from the Academy's Chamber Music Residence under the direction of Kirill Gerstein.
The final concert of the Chamber Music Residency is the first part of a portrait dedicated to pianist Kirill Gerstein and hosts a double set: three instrumentalists at the height of their careers playing Brahms and Ligeti trios – connected by the homage that the latter pays to the former –, then nine young talented musicians whom they have supervised, in a subtle chamber version of the Fourth Symphony, thus allowing the Festival to continue its Mahler cycle
