Lecture -Aesthetic legacies of Diaghilev's Russian ballets

  • Cultural
  • Conference
Médiathèque Chalucet, 5 rue Chalucet, 83000 Toulon
Florence Poudru looks back at the history of the Ballets Russes, and this illustrated talk will focus on their renewed conception of ballet, thanks to close collaboration with the innovative painters and musicians of their time.
Beyond the dazzling performances of the troupe formed in Paris in 1909 as a result of Franco-Russian relations, the Ballets Russes have made their mark on Europe. The works of Fokine, Nijinsky, Massine, Nijinska and Balanchine, which are still danced today, also inspire today's choreography.

In partnership with the Université du Temps Libre - Université de Toulon.
